About the role:
The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day support and delivery of all required internal communications and events strategy to drive engagement across their group of entities. To achieve this, the incumbent will need to have a hands-on approach in supporting multiple stakeholders to develop, shape, and deliver internal communications to inspire and engage colleagues. Communications is about telling company stories to a wide range of audiences – both internal and external. Internal communications ensure these stories are told first and in a compelling way to staff, keeping employees up to date with their vision and goals. External communication will ensure the company name is driven and recognized as a brand and preferred employer.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Strategically assist in driving #company culture.
• Support and further develop the business’ Internal Communications & Events strategy by creating engaging content for channels used across the business.
• Help drive #HR initiatives and projects.
• Partner with key stakeholders to plan, develop and deliver internal communications to achieve their objectives and engage colleagues.
• Initiate, develop and own the end-to-end delivery of timely, targeted, #creative, and engaging communication plans.
• Increase engagement and awareness across the organisation and update your colleagues with operational information and good news stories.
• Create internal communication platforms/ initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage the communications calendar.
• Ensure all communications are in line with #internal brand guidelines and CX.
• Measure the effectiveness of communications using available channels and tools, recommending improvements/ further initiatives to achieve business desired objectives.
• Report on all initiatives or campaigns to measure effectiveness.
• Share best practices and learning, seeking continuous improvement and feedback opportunities.
• Manage and/or create company #social media channels
• Support the delivery of internal events, both digital and face to face.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a similar role within an internal or #corporate communications environment.
• Experience in working with HR teams to drive company culture, #Employer Branding (internally and externally).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and develop messages for a variety of audiences in company tone and voice.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms, including e-mail and social media.
• Be a #team player – working as part of a small team, a can-do attitude, willing to take on any challenge.
• Flexible and willing to work (on occasion), outside of normal workings hours to support the wider team’s objectives.
• Ability to independently manage projects whilst ensuring all key stakeholders are kept appropriately looped in.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and #excellence.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work across several projects at once.
• Ability to build effective relationships across a business.
• Creative thinker, delivering #innovative ideas.
• Experience managing business internal intranet site (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence) advantageous.
• Overall proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
