Job Description

Our luxury hotel in Camps Bay is seeking the best Events Manager to join their bespoke team. Quality and style is EVERYTHING!!

You would be responsible for driving sales and the development of the banqueting and events products to lead the Events Team in delivering their commercial and operational objectives

Responsibilities and Task:

  • Product development, sales and operational delivery of the Camps Bay Events concept.
  • Preparation of budgets, business plans and sales targets.
  • Review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Staff management regarding the schedule of staff hours and assign duties.
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Team management and creating and maintaining a healthy and productive office environment.
  • Contract and manage the relationships with key Camps Bay Events external suppliers.
  • Develop close working relationships with key functions and internal suppliers within the group.
  • Drive sales through launching of new product packages, opening key accounts and cross selling to maximize market share for the group.
  • Research and keep-up-to-date with all banqueting equipment, methods and techniques.
  • Conduct appraisals for all staff.
  • Hold regular departmental and function meetings.
  • Prepare all reports as required by the company.
  • Administer monthly tests to the Coordinators, Houseman and Operations Managers.
  • Conduct regular staff training.
  • Maintain uniform standards.


Education / Knowledge / Skills:

Previous Experience as an Events Manager (non-Negotiable)

Relevant Tertiary qualification

At least 2 – 3 years’ experience as an Events Manager

Familiar with the operations of Events within the Hotel Industry

Able to work flexible hours

Own transport essential
