HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER
Introduction
A large manufacturing company located in Olifantsfontein is seeking an experienced and diligent Human Resource Director with at least 5 years’ experience working within the manufacturing, automotive or logistics sectors to assist in the management of the HR functions within the company.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Business Partner is accountable to provide HR functional support and expertise to align the Human Resources strategy and goals with the Company’s strategic business objectives and goals.
Education and Experience Required
Education
- HR Diploma (essential)
- HR Degree (advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years HR generalist experience in a manufacturing, automotive or FMCG environment.
Requirements / Skills / Characteristics:
- Strong initiator, energetic and ability to manage change well
- Code 08 Drivers License
- Own transport essential
- Sound knowledge of current labour legislation (LRA; BCEA; EE)
- Knowledge/experience of any Collective agreement is preferred
- Ability to multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Highly professional and assertive

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Manager with the implementation of all human resources strategies and objectives
- Recruitment and selection of all positions (salaries and wages)
- Assist the HR Manager with the implementation of talent management, succession planning, I-Engage surveys, job grading, employee wellness initiatives and all HR related projects
- Assist with the review of the company policies and procedures on a regular basis
- Promote workplace safety and participate in the H&S Committee
- Provide efficient and accurate HR administration service to all departments
- Develop and maintain job descriptions for all employees
- Complete letters of appointment and contracts for all employees
- Facilitate induction/onboarding for all new recruits
- Ensure that salaries are benchmarked Ensure all exit interviews are conducted and reported on a monthly basis.
- Identify training and development opportunities
- Will be registered as the Skills Development Facilitator for the Company
- Complete and submit Mandatory Skills Development reports to the Merseta
- Ensure that training is booked in accordance with WSP and Pivotal Plans
- Coordinates/monitors all training activities
- Participate in the activities of the Training Committee
- HR Representative for the EE & SD Committee Meeting
- Implement and maintain record keeping systems for all internal and external training
- Ensure that EE targets and goals as per the EE plan are achieved through recruitment and promotions for your departments.
- Implement and maintain record keeping systems for annual Employment Equity reporting to Dept. of Labour
- Maintain record keeping systems for BBBEE
- Identify opportunities to promote equality, diversity and employee wellness
- Advise / guide management and staff on labour legislation/matters
- Provide advice and recommendations to managers on disciplinary matters
- Attend disciplinary hearings as the HR Representative
- Attend monthly shop steward meetings
- Handle all grievances
- Conduct performance management training with all new or promoted junior/middle managers
- Aid managers regarding performance appraisals and performance management
- Advise on pay and remuneration issues, including promotions, benefits, and salary reviews
- Assist with reviewing human resources policies, processes and procedures to support the company’s goals and objectives and to enhance employee satisfaction and commitment
- Develops new employee onboarding/induction processes
- Ensure employee starter packs are completed for new employees
- Coordinates all staff social activities and employee recognition programs
- Handle medical aid queries and related documentation
- Handle pension fund queries and related documentation
- Complete monthly HR Reports
- Complete UI19 forms for terminated employees
- Complete Certificates of Service for terminated employees
