Reputable company based in Tokai seeks to employ a QA Manager to test and monitor systems, services and infrastructure ensuring they are up to the required standard and specification.
Requirements:
- Have significant staff management experience
- Have a minimum of 4 years related work experience with references
- Have excellent communication skills
- Hold a valid South African Identity document
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Hold an IT tertiary qualification in software testing/development
- Willing to work in an agile environment where changes are frequent, and technologies evolve
Technical Skills:
- Experience with web application and cloud technologies
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL or MSSQL
- Comfortable working in different development environments, programming languages and frameworks
- Good software development and code analysis skills
- Experience in software test automation and performance testing tools
- Experience working in a continuous deployment/integration pipeline
- Excellent at producing test cases from user stories
- Ability to thoroughly investigate, analyse and test IT systems
- Excellent communication, summarising information into concise and clear reports
Supervisory Skills:
- Manage a team of QA testers
- Provide or recommend training to staff on QA tools and methodologies
- Manage external QA service providers and vendors
- Create, maintain and enforce IT QA Benchmarks
- Create Service Level Agreements for all IT services
- Create and maintain qualitative surveys to analyse user experiences
- Maintain dashboards summarising service availability
- Participate in the requirements gathering process, focus on non-functional requirements such as reliability and fault tolerance
- Assess project plans and determine whether protocols are being followed
- Create QA plans for each project with deliverables and reporting timelines
- Carry out tests and evaluation throughout the project life cycle, iteratively evolving the QA plan
- Identify and prioritise key risks based on impact/urgency
