Job Purpose
To ensure and implement excellent accounting procedures, control and statutory IFRS complaint reporting whilst acting in strong partnership with the Commercial and Treasury teams (for the Company)

Results Delivery: Financial / Business Objectives
Participate in crafting financial management procedures to ensure quality of delivery on time Apply cost effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to contribute to achievement of divisional financial targets. Ensure all financial transactions are concluded by executing and reviewing financial month end close, as required by the Company’s requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal reporting deadlines and requirements. Organise feedback sessions after an event to correct future work standards. Work with urgency and accuracy collaboratively to meet statutory compliance requirements Conduct root cause analysis when reconciling items occur and apply appropriate solution. Provide input into the formalisation for the divisional budget. Urge the financial and reporting team to capture GL entries to ensure deadlines are met Review month on month and year on year budget figures in the IDU system, flag variances and feed information to Commercial team. Contribute to crafting of annual Finance division business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas in support of the Finance strategy
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Client Service and Relationships
Build internal networks by mutual support within the Company. Influence decision making by working collaboratively with the General Ledger team Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key contacts in Finance and the supported business players. Be recognized by peers as an active contributor to the Finance team. Drive change control and new financial activities to maximise value add to the business from a financial support perspective

Improve personal capability and professional growth relating to field of expertise, in line with the Company’s objectives by discussing development needs and proposed solutions with management. Previous Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in a Financial Accounting role
Qualifications
BCom degree in Accounting
Preferred Qualification: CA(SA)
