Job Description

An eclectic Hotel in the vibrant neighborhood of Melkbosstrand is looking for a passionate Front Office Duty Manager to support an established team. Let us know if you have what it takes. 




  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Accommodation Certificate/ Hotel School Diploma is advantageous

Work experience:

  • Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star hotel
  • Familiar with all duties and procedures in Front Office Department
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential
  • Opera experience is essential
  • Third language is advantageous

Tasks (include but not limited to):

  • Maintaining the most efficient check-in procedure
  • Dealing with guests’ problems and complaints
  • Ensuring reservations are correct and courteous
  • Liaising between reservations and front office staff
  • Ensuring accounts are balanced daily
  • Managing the arrivals and departures board
  • Ensuring there is on-the-job training
